Venue

Gostiny Dvor is a modern Trade Exhibition Centre situated in one of the most iconic historical buildings of the Moscow city centre. The architectural complex has its roots in the XIV century when traders from Moscow chose this area of Kitay-Gorod for their shops and warehouses. In the XVIII century Catherine II «the Great» commissioned the reconstruction of this once medieval merchant cluster to the italian architect Giacomo Quarenghi, which lead to the erection of an elegant architectural ensemble in its place.

In the late XX century the building underwent a massive renovation, both inside and outside. Modern engineering systems were installed in accordance with international standards. Thus Gostiny Dvor was converted into a modern Trade Exhibition Centre spanning over 82 000 sq.m. The courtyard is paved with granite and surrounded by neoclassical columns and arcades and covered with a modern glass dome.

Nowdays, the Atrium of Gostiny Dvor is a modern fairground which satisfies all the needs of organisers, participants, and viewers. The area of the Atrium counts more than 13 000 sq.m., the height of the hall is 24 meters, and the total capacity of the venue exceeds 50,000 people. The Atrium’s amphitheater can accommodate up to 500 people. It allows to host more than 50 events annually: festivals, concerts, business forums, fashion shows, fairs, Viennese balls, exhibitions and salons.

Gostiny Dvor is well located in the centre of Moscow, right next to the Red Square, which allows for a consistently high attendance of events.
